Description:

The US Green Building Council (USGBC) Tennessee transforms buildings and places to create healthy, prosperous, and sustainable communities through Education, Advocacy, and Action. USGBC encourages and provides information on environmentally and socially responsible green building practices and sustainable communities, including information about LEED certification and continuing education programs which help LEED-accredited professionals maintain their credentials. The East TN, Middle TN and Memphis branches have a diverse group of members including architects, engineers, contractors, manufacturers, building owners and occupants who are working toward reducing energy consumption, water usage and promoting environmental air quality with over 800 LEED projects. Regular events highlight local buildings, companies and green building strategies and every year the state chapter hosts an IMPACT Tennessee state conference.

Program Fees:

Annual Membership Fees: Students with valid student email address: $59.00; Emerging Professionals (age under 30): $79.00; Employees of USGBC National Member companies: $109.00; General Individual Membership: $129.00

Eligibility:

Persons interested in promoting green building and sustainability can volunteer, join a committee or support the organization by becoming a member. Businesses can become USGBC National Members, sponsors or support the organization through local events
