Crime Prevention Equipment/Registries
Programs that pay for, provide and/or install equipment that automatically sounds a warning on the premises in the case of a break-in. Most systems involve an alarm also sounding in the premises of the security company that installed the device and/or with prior arrangement, in a police station, in case of a break-in.
Personal Property Identification Registries
Programs that operate registries which allow people to record the serial numbers of their valuables (e.g., bicycles, cameras and laptop computers) to facilitate the identification and return of stolen items that have been recovered by the police.
Programs that pay for or provide the equipment or offer rebates to people who want to install outdoor lighting in their homes or businesses in order to discourage intruders.
