Sleepwalking Disorder

A disorder that is characterized by repeated episodes of a sequence of complex behaviors that frequently progress, without full consciousness, to leaving bed and walking about. During the episode, the individual has a blank, staring face and is relatively unresponsive to the efforts of others to communicate, influence the sleepwalking or awaken the individual. The episode may terminate by the individual spontaneously awakening, returning to bed without reaching consciousness or lying down in another place to continue to sleep.
