Description
Assist with operational and clerical tasks, such as, answering the phone, handle general office work, assist attorneys in gathering information and materials, and other necessary work, depending on the office's needs and the experience of the volunteer. Volunteers should be available for at least 10 hours per week and anticipate being able to assist for at least 8 weeks.

If Legal Aid Society is unable to accept the case, they might be able to offer one-time legal advice or provide referrals to other agencies. Lawyers willing to provide pro bono services to low-income individuals can volunteer for a couple of hours monthly at legal clinics or provide direct representation to individual clients either in person or remotely. Law students, interpreters, and paralegals are also welcome to volunteer at legal clinics.
