Description:
Mending Hearts is a residential program that provides a variety of programs for women who have a substance use dependency, or co-occurring disorder. Programs include, but are not limited to, Medical Detox, Residential Treatment, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program (IOP), Peer Support Community with a transitional recovery housing and independent living.

Intake Process:
The first step is to complete a Pre-Admission Screening form on the website. The form gathers pertinent information which allows the agency team to deem if the applicant is appropriate for placement in one of Mending Hearts' programs. Assessment takes approximately 48 hours to complete, and then the Admissions team will be in contact with the applicant to inform them of the assessment.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Campus Cleanup
Minimum 5 volunteers, no maximum
Bring work gloves, any necessary protective equipment
Anyone with skilled labor experience (i.e., electrician) may bring tools to do minor repairs

Ladies Movie Night
Minimum 3 volunteers; Maximum 5 (due to space limitations)
Bring movie and snacks
Total time typically 3-5 hours (depending on movie length and cleanup time)
Healing Art classes
Instructor to teach healing art classes that help to touch the creative side of the client which can draw on inner healing from past-lived experiences.
Individual groups
Volunteers can come and share a passion (cooking, jewelry making, painting, etc)
With a group of women. Bring supplies necessary to complete project. Depending
On volunteer!s needs and abilities, the group can be broken down by program. For example,

Partial Hospitalization Program
Description
The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a level of care that provides clients with access to a safe, structured treatment environment without total disruption of their daily routines. The program allows a client to reside in their home and commute to treatment daily. It's a full-time mental health counseling program that requires dedication and commitment to improving one's health and wellness. PHP can be attended on an outpatient basis.

Peer Support Community with Transitional Recovery Housing
Description
Peer Support Community programs provides a safe and secure living environment where residents engage in recovery services, including case management, personal and professional development aimed at community reintegration. Additional services include individual counseling, treatment groups, job skills, employment training, case management, 12-step meetings and more.
