The Tennessee State Museum procures, preserves, exhibits, and interprets objects which relate to the social, political, economic, and cultural history of Tennessee and Tennesseans and provides exhibitions and programs for the educational and cultural enrichment of the citizens of the state.
Hours:
Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat 10:00 am - 5:00 pm; Thu 10:00 am - 8:00 pm; Sun 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day and Easter.
Intake Process:
Walk in. If bringing a group of 10 or more, please call ahead to arrange a group tour.
Program Fees:
There is no cost to visit the museum.
Languages:
Individuals or groups who wish to request language assistance because of a limited ability to speak or understand English should contact the museum at least five (5) business days prior to the date of the requested museum program or service.

Museum hours: Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat 10:00 am - 5:00 pm; Thu 10:00 am - 8:00 pm; Sun 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Event times may be outside of these hours. Closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day and Easter.
