Description:
Provides a comprehensive program to help youth who were or are now in foster care in Shelby County, ages 14-25, to transition successfully to independent living. Services include goal setting and job readiness help (including help with resumes, help in applying for jobs and interview practice); sexual health education, HIV/AIDS education/testing, financial literacy, parenting and other life skills with community-based referrals for health care and housing needs. Dream Seekers is a program sponsored through the TN Department of Children's Services in partnership with the Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative.

Office Hours: Mon - Fri 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Intake Process:
Call for schedule of classes; requires referral from the TN Dept of Children's Services Independent Living Program.

Eligibility:
Youth in Shelby County, ages 14-25, who were or are in foster care and need help moving into independent living; accepts referrals from all social service agencies and anyone that sees a need to refer someone. Agency will do a foster care check on anyone who is self-referring or not being referred by a social service agency
