Description:
The Cheatham County Department of Codes, Building Safety, and Land Use is at work to promote the public health, safety, morals, convenience, order, prosperity and general welfare of the citizens of Cheatham County by enforcing the locally adopted Building Codes, Property Maintenance Standards, Zoning Regulations and Subdivision Regulations in the unincorporated areas of Cheatham County. Through the Building Permitting and Inspection process it is our goal to work for the homeowner and work with the builder in a partnership that is beneficial to all. The Property Maintenance Standards program is designed to maintain a high level of property maintenance standards and reduce or eliminate the undesirable nuisances, hazards and effects associated with blighting and neglect of property. Land Use and Zoning Regulation is established and implemented to enhance the character and stability of residential, business, commercial, and industrial areas, and promoting the orderly and beneficial development of such areas.
Hours:
Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Building permit applications are accepted and processed until 3:30 pm.
