Hours:
Office hours: Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 4:30 pm; closed state holidays except Memorial Day. Visitation hours: daily from dawn until dusk.
Intake Process:
Veterans and dependents can pre-register for burial in the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Visit the website and fill out the pertinent information, and then mail the Veteran's DD-214 or NG Form 22 (discharge papers) to the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. For spouse burial requests, please also include marriage certificate. You will receive a formal response from the Tennessee Department of Veterans Services in the mail 4 to 6 weeks from the date the application is received. All applications are subject to eligibility verification, review and approval.
Program Fees:
There is no fee for the interment or cremation of a veteran, veteran!s spouse, or eligible dependent children. All veterans are entitled to a white, upright marble headstone at government expense when buried in a Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. A temporary grave marker is used to identify grave site until the permanent headstone is delivered in approximately three to four months.
